enjoy the heat

Last week, my best friends and I went up to Tahoe to enjoy the day in the sun with a cigar and the water. Well, the weather sucked. Windy and cold and icky. And we didn't have a lighter. So, out of the 3 of us, 1 left and 2 remained. Me and Kaylen. We got in the water (and by we I mean me. She just hung out in the Explorer 200, her raft) and swam until we got tired of it. We climbed all over rocks. We sat on the beach until it started to rain on us. Then we decided to drive around Tahoe. At first we went south, but then turned around to go to Tahoe City.

Tahoe City rocked. We ate some Mexican food and walked around. We sat on this private pier and talked for a while about recent events and laughed about our talk of the future. Then we walked on the beach and learned all about Tahoe City's history. I don't remember any of it.

Now here begins the adventure part.

It was around 8 at that time so we decided to start heading home. So we get in her car and start driving off. The car starts getting hotter and hotter. So... we pull over, wait 10 minutes, and try again. It starts heating up again. So, luckily, we pulled over at some restraunt, which had a 7/11 across the street. So we go get some coolant and put it in the coolant container thingy (obviously I'm not a car person). This time we decided to wait 20 minutes. So we turn around and see this BEAUTIFUL sunset. I mean amazing. We are on the beach and the whole day was cloudy. Now we are standing on a beach with our feet in the water, in our dresses, and we are watching the same dull, grey clouds come to life with color from the sun. God gave us that sunset.

So after that, we were off and had to only stop once more for a little bit and then we made our way down the mountain without a hitch, the Explorer 200 slowly taking over the car. Then we made smores and watching "So you think you can dance?" when we got home.
