Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.

Your heart is the core of who you are. It is the fountainhead of our faith, hope, and love.

Beauty-

As a girl, you want to feel loved and perused. We want to be seen as beautiful and amazing. We read books that help us become more of that woman we want to be. There is no formula to it. Sorry, those books probably won’t help much, but you’re free to try.

The mystery of our heart is probably a good thing though. It should be a source of joy. It being the 21st century, it has become a source of shame for some. Woman tend to feel like they are “too much” or “not what they should be”. Men don’t help. They pull away from the deeper waters. They are unsure of what they will find. So we’ve missed the treasure of what a woman’s heart really is. We’ve missed the richness femininity was meant to bring our lives. We’ve missed how it speaks to us about the heart of God.

Think of Lord of the Rings for a minute. Arwen is the one that saves Frodo. Eowyn is the one that kills the king of the Nazgual. These beautiful, strong women are there for a purpose. These women that were thought up more than 70 years ago understood how hard it was to be a woman today. We want to be strong and brave, but still beautiful and venerable. So we feel like if we aren’t loved by people (boys), we aren’t worth it. We get all caught up in what we look like and what the world thinks of us, when it doesn’t matter. A woman’s heart should be so lost in God that a man needs to seek Him in order to find her.
